His hand finds Björn's, and then squeezes.] You know, it's completely different, making furniture to selling it. I mean, if you're making anything! Because that involves skill and thoughtfulness and creativity. It's like comparing a farmer to a chef - they both work with food, but in very different ways. [Timo brings Björn's hand up so he can kiss his fingers, and then rest his cheek against Björn's hand, smiling at him affectionately.] You'll always be better than him because, well, that's really not hard, but because you worry about being like him. That already sets you above him.

it will be the most embarrassing thing because what should he answer to the "why are you blushing" that will inadvertly come

he can't just say "because I love you" that would be impossible, not because Björn believes that homosexuality is an issue (he knows that there are people who have issues with it, but that was not how he was raised, and how could liking Timo be a bad thing anyway?), but because this is Timo and just. How do you even say such things, and what if he isn't interested, and it might destroy what they have... and really is this even the right time, wouldn't it be better to wait for graduation or for the end of university or... And it would be too much especially since they just got here and everything is new. He could of course always answer that Finland is just cute, because that is the objective truth (and also pretty and beautiful and handsome and so on). But wouldn't that give him away, even when it is just common knowledge people tend to not say it unless they are interested in the other person...

Back on track! Timo gave him actually a few good things to think about. This will take another few moments in which he is just looking at the green hedge in front of them.] Y' think better 's enough even when it's sim'lar?

[By this point, it's questionable if Timo would even notice if Björn blushed. Not because he doesn't care or that he's not observant, but because he's just too used to his reactions. But this is something that Timo feels he needs to give out physical affection for - if he was in Björn's situation, he'd want hugs.]

I think even if you were doing exactly the same thing as him, you'd still be better because you're not him, you're you.

[And he would get all the hugs. Considering that Björn just really likes hugging his friend, romantic feelings aside - he likes physical contact a lot, but would never initiate with someone where he isn't 150% sure that it is okay and with whom he doesn't feel 200% comfortable, and that reduces it to like, Timo and his mother (and Vil's mother). He does feel the same amount of comfortable with Vil, Sig and Ari, but they are... just not okay with physical contact like that, or at least not that Björn would know of.]

'd never do th' same thing. [His head snaps around and he stares at Finland in horror at that (and you know what kind of expression that means). He would never betray someone close to him like that.]

No! No, Nalle, I know you'd never do that. I meant work as a salesman. But that's my point! You could do exactly the same job as your father and you'd still be nothing like him. So I don't want you to not like a part of you because it reminds you of him because you're already a hundred times better than he will ever be!

[At least he's too busy correcting what he said to notice how scary Björn looks right now, clinging to him closer. There's no way he's going to let his friend think that he ever meant to say that he's like his father.]

[It will take a bit for Björn to calm down again, but at least the horror fades away a bit as he wraps the other arm around Timo as well, just pulling him close while trying to pull himself together.

He really, really hopes that the other boy's words are true. (The time that his father spent with him and his mother really did not help his opinion of the man at all.)

So yeah, just holding his best friend/crush close for a bit.]

[Timo shifts so that he can wrap his arms around Björn as well, squeezing him in. Hugs are good. So are little, shy nuzzles into the other boy's shoulder.

But he's not one to keep silent.]

Do you have any more classes this afternoon? [Also, moving the subject on.]

[Divinely happy right now, this boy is. (and yes, enough to revert to Yoda speak if that was something that he'd do. Talk, that is.

Which means that he will just shake his head at the question. No, he doesn't, they can stay here some longer.]

Me neither. I was thinking about seeing if I could send a letter home. [He's not going to pull away immediately, but he does take a sip from his coffee.] Do you want to come?

[A slow nod. Of course he will, and that might be good, because he needs to write home too, so seeing where he can is a good idea. Especially if it is together with someone who can do the talking, and in Björn's opinion, Timo is quite good at that.]

[If there's one thing that Timo's good at, it's talking.] When we finish our coffee and have your shoulder seen to, then. [He says happily.] Oh, but did you need to finish what you were working on?

[Björn shrugs that off.] Lat'r. [There is no exact hurry to finish it, especially when he can trade doing it in for spending time with his best friend.]

Okay! As long as it's not important to finish it today. [That means that Timo can steal a bit of his time, and he makes a pleased noise and snuggles in closer. Maybe he's been just a little bit clingy since they got here, but since he hadn't seen Björn since the summer he thinks that's fair enough. Maybe once he's used to Björn's presence again he'll settle down once more.]

I can't stay out too long anyway. I still have some math work to do. [He groans a little at the thought of it. He's been putting it off maybe a little longer than he should have.]

[Björn definitely doesn't mind Timo's clinginess - getting so much cute from up close might give him cavities eventually, but he'll gladly accept that.]

N'd help? [While he is only average at stochastics and algebra, he's always had a hand for geometry, so if it is that...]

...Maybe. But I should at least try and do it myself! Otherwise I won't learn. [Have Timo's determined face staring at you ~~it's just as cute as his normal face~~.] Thank you for offering though. If I get stuck I'll ask you?

[Nod. He can work with that. After all he has homework to do, too.]

W' can work togeth'r? [The library probably has desks where you can sit together, both over your own things.. ]

Okay! I'd like that. [He likes the idea that he can help Björn in return. He slips from his cooling coffee, enjoying it more now he can cup it safely in his hands. Thinking about sending a letter home has him thinking of home.]

Do you miss home at all?

[Björn simply shrugs at that; he does miss home, but he has missed home for years now, ever since him and his mother moved to Denmark. And home is where the heart is and all that - it makes it a lot easier to be away from home when he has Timo with him, even though this time his mother isn't there.]

Oh... [Timo can't really read that, so he pulls away just enough to tuck his legs up to his chest and curl into himself. He's trying to be sensible about it ~~and not crawl into Björn's bed like he used to when he was homesick in the summers~~.]

[Björn will put an arm around him and pull him against his chest.]

Y' can come over when y' need. [He's referring to how Finland came over before - he can do that now, too.]

[Timo makes a quiet noise, before wrapping his arms around Björn and squeezing him in. He appreciates that.] Thanks, Nalle.

[But then he's smiling again, moment of homesickness gone for now.] I'll try not to bother you too much though!

're never bothering. [And he definitely means that.]

Even when I spill coffee on you? [He grins, even though he still feels bad about that. He'll keep an eye on it over the next couple of days, though.]

[Nodding. That coffee was unfortunate, but that doesn't mean that Timo as a person is bothering here.

......................also that is just too cute. That grin. Stop being so cute, how is he supposed to function like this... Okay just let him reach out and tousle Timo's hair a bit before turning on his heel and marching towards the exit, having memorized how he got here so he'll get back easily.]

Hey! [Timo squeaks, partially from a little tremor of fear and partly because that's his hair and now it's a mess. Not that he's like Vilmar and bothers to do much more with it than brush it, but it was neat before and now he'll have to finger comb it as he runs after Björn. Since his legs are longer than Timo's, he'll have to trot to keep up with him, but he trusts Björn to lead them out of the maze, not paying attention to where they're going.] How did you learn the maze so quickly anyway? It took me ages to find you.
