"...I'm pretty sure I'm not." Says the person who is on the inside getting ready for a fight right this moment. Because guess what sits at the core of every vampire, closer to the surface in some than in others... Though his Beast might not show up in a way intelligible to Felih, and he might well mean something else entirely.

Still, his tail sways idly as he waits for Jackie to sit. "Oh, come now. I know it's a bit scary to think that something about you has been altered, but it's better to know sooner than later."
no subject
At least he tries to relax, at least somewhat. ...Not that it really works.
no subject
Eventually, he simply seems to stop and blink at him.
"Er, well, there's good news and bad news, I suppose, but..." he murmurs. "You- well, I- that is, your aether... well, a being like you shouldn't... exist...? I'd thought them mere myth..." he murmurs, before curiously humming. "See, it's almost as if you're voidsent, but you don't... actually look like voidsent, or act like voidsent, or attack living beings to drain their aether like voidsent. Uh."
no subject
The only thing placating him some, at least, is that Felih's face mostly communicates confusion, and doesn't grow any more hostile as he goes on.
"What does voidsent mean, exactly? Like those beings you mentioned earlier?"
no subject
He just looks stumped, and regards him curiously. "Voidsent thrive off the aether of living beings here on our plane. And your signature, in your core aether, there's a pattern almost like that- of a being that lives off others' energy. And yet, the rest of you is... well." He just gestures at Jackie's everything. "Harmless."
no subject
He's certainly doing his best to look harmless, thank you, Felih.

"Why is it called the Waking Sands?"
no subject
With that, he stretches and stands. "Well, if you're a dead man walking I'll assume you can't teleport or use the aetherytes, so we'll ride up to there, but it'll be a long trip," he says. "North through Zan'rak and west from Little Ala Mhigo, then through Central Thanalan, then through the city of Ul'dah... And then northwest from the city to reach Vesper Bay. Luckily I've nothing pressing at the moment."

He looked outside the tent to where the coeurl in question is sprawled out lazily in the sun, by the chocobo who is seated nearby.

He then grins, "Besides, it helps to have helping hands about when I need smaller things done."
"Do you remember aught of your station?" he asks curiously, before stretching. "And we ought to move north before the sun sets. Desert nights get quite cold, and traveling in the evening is the easiest in terms of comfort."

"Well, we'll figure it out at the Waking Sands. Hop back up on Stormwind, and we can make it to Ul'dah before it gets too late out," he says simply. "We can stay at an inn there, maybe spend a day just exploring the city. Something may jog your memory- and if not, we continue onwards."
no subject
He's not looking forward to this ride, but... well. It seems like his best option at this point.
Perhaps he can face a slow return of memory, at least of some parts... Unless Felih talks at him the whole time, he should have time to figure it out during their travels.
