And how long has your mother known of it?

[Probably a lot longer than the young couple (for a measure of young, anyway). After all Galadriel has always been quite perceptive, and that has only grown with age (and even after this long, it still feels odd to think of her as "Galadriel" - though she isn't Artanis now, not anymore and everyone can see that).]

I think she has known since Elrond first realized he loved me. At the time, I was still unsure but I think she knew, even then.

[Because, really, when doesn't Galadriel know something? Oh but yes, far longer than the couple, however subtle either thought they'd been about their feelings.]

I fear that, if not for her late birth, she would have known of myself and Maedhros's feelings long ere we would have noticed them. ...Though I will wager that there were others who knew of her feelings for your father later than some others, for it is often easier to see the signs in another.
