The advantage of being a nation is that whenever you go to war, you will be considered high ranking and be given good accommodation. In this case the bedroom of an abandoned farm, the owners having fled form the hostilities.
The other advantage of being a nation is that no matter how much you fight at the front of your people, you know that you will survive. The disadvantage is that doing that so that you will be raising the spirits of your people is kind of your job, and the enemy knows that you're responsible for your people's spirits, so you are a lot more likely to get hurt than everyone else. Particularly when you've fought them often enough before for many people to know who you are. Screw Denmark, really.
Sweden is back in their bedroom sooner than Finland and when the other nation enters he is currently trying to get out of his mail and clothes to be able to check himself over, clean his wounds and dress them. The doctors and barbers are busy with the humans who needs quick care because they will die or get infections, and he doesn't want to hold them up when hurting for a while will be the worst thing that will happen to him. Plus, Finland will come back soon anyway and he'll ask him to help. ...He just hopes that Finland wasn't hurt too badly, no matter how capable in a fight he knows the other nation to be he still cannot help but worry about him a lot.

"Sure?"

Knowing that he's not going to win the argument if he keeps not giving Sweden proof, he does the only thing he can really do. He takes off his tunic to let Sweden see for himself. Of course this was the first time he would see it as well.
Well, he isn't bleeding, but he does have some nasty bruises all along his arms. Some of them were still darkening. Others had already darkened to nice shade of purple. He had really hoped they weren't that bad. Adrenaline meant he still couldn't feel the pain completely so he hadn't realized how dark they actually were.

Well, he should be able to do something here, at least.
He moves a bit stiffly when he gets up and goes over to a table in the corner, but he finds the pot with salve to put on bruises quickly. It won't make them go away, but it will numb the pain a bit once it starts.
He'll sit back down at Finland's side and start applying the salve, using mostly his palms to do so, which probably makes for a slightly strange feeling.

He protests when Sweden gets up, telling him that he doesn't have to get it, that he Finland would be able to get it. But even so he doesn't make a move to fight with the taller nation.
He also doesn't resist when the other comes over and starts to put the salve on his bruises. It actually feels good even if the feeling of him putting it on with his palms only is different.
"Thank you."

And besides, he likes taking care of Finland. It is good to feel... well. To personally be able to take care of the other nation, not only in a distant sense but very hands-on and concrete. It's why he likes cooking for them or finding Finland new clothes, too.
It's a lot more ...innocent and simple than anything on the political side.
Thinking of which, he can't help but wonder what is going on on the other side of his realm. The Russian border, specifically, and his features darken a bit while he still works.
"'s the eastern border okay?"
It's pretty out of the blue, but... well, he tends to think so much in between words that the connection often isn't explained.

At the question, Finland looked up to meet Sweden's gaze. Sometime he didn't understand how Sweden's train of thought reached certain thoughts. Being as quiet as he was and the fact that Finland voiced a lot of his thoughts, it was easy to see how there was a disconnect.
"Yeah, everything is okay there."
oh no that's such a cute icon
That also means that they'll be walking around Finland's and Estonia's lands, which they haven't in a while. As much as it won't be a vacation, he hopes that it will be nice for Finland to visit there again. It's a bit lonesome to be away from your land and most of your people for such a long time.
But yes. Just casually showing Russia that he's still keeping an eye on that area would be a very important part of the visit, too.
it is
It had been a while since he had been home. It was just something that happened when you were following around another nation. But it did get difficult always being away from his people and from his home for so long. Not that being with Sweden was hard, but he had his own troubles and Finland's weren't always first priority.
Though they possibly should have been. Russia kept peeking in all the time. While Sweden was intimidating, Russia was down right scary and he kept bothering both himself and Estonia. Having Sweden around, even if just for a short amount of time, might let Russia know to stay away.
"I'd like to be able to go back there."

Good.
Then they will go... soon. As soon as they can. It will take a few more days, perhaps a few more weeks. War isn't a quick affair, never. But the one advantage of waging the war at your own border and not somewhere in the middle of HRE is that home is close by, and thus that everywhere within his realm is comparatively close by, too.
He finishes his work on Finland's bruises and rests his hands in his lap for a bit, thinking.
"'nthing specific that y' want t' do?"

"Oh well, there's lots of things we could do," Finland replied. "We could visit the sauna. Would be nice after something this. We could have a feast. What do you think?"
Now that they are not fighting, he's starting to get tired, leaning a little bit closer to Sweden.

It's nice to just sit here like that, next to Finland - he could do that forever, if that was an option.
...Perhaps put an arm around the other nation. Just so he doesn't sway and fall off the bed, of course. Yes, putting an arm around Finland now.
"'r sleep." That's obviously not a plan for the long run, but Finland is tired and now that he knows that Finland is well, he can feel himself growing tired, too.
no subject
But not right now. Sleep was sounding increasingly like the better idea at the moment. He still ached and all the fighting had worn him out. Under different circumstances, he might have been weary when Sweden put his arm around him, but at the moment, the only thing he did was lean in closer to Sweden, enjoying the warmth.
"Yeah, we should sleep," he said softly, practically snuggling up against him.

He pulls Finland onto the bed, wrapping around him in a protective hug. They're clean enough from what he can tell, and if Finland is still wearing his boots, who cares. They can rush off any mud in the morning.
For now he just doesn't want to break up the moment by separating to getting more undressed.

He pressed back against him, feeling the warmth of the other nation so close to him. He felt protected, safe when he was with Sweden, even if he did have his scary moment as well.

He meant to stay awake until Finland has fallen asleep, but the day has taken his toll, and happy and content and relaxed, he soon nods off.
