But a few nations are still around. And maybe those nations still being around can be taken a little more literally than we thought...

This is a meme for characters from Stand Still. Stay Silent, Hetalia, Nyotalia, Scandinavia and the World and really any Nordic (and Estonian) character is welcome! Just post in and tag out!

Setting 2

[It's a long journey between Finland and Sweden, and even though he's having to travel more and more to visit his neighbour, Finland's still pretty sure he'll never get used to it. It's enough to put any man on edge, let alone one leaving behind the comfort and warmth of his own land and people. The sudden jolt of the ship is enough to set his heart hammering, as he leaps to his feet, a spell already on his lips and his hands on his riffle.

And then... and then nothing. He opens his eyes to a darkened sky - dawn or dusk? No, the light isn't right. Just dark, as though a storm is waiting to break. Was it a dream? Is he at Sweden's lands already? He can't be home - he can't feel the pull of the land or his people. Standing up and brushing himself off, he checks his rifle as he looks around, and as he does his heart sinks. This ruined city can't be anywhere but the silent world, and here he is in the dark, alone.

No, not alone. As he turns he spots the familiar figure of Sweden and he swallows down relief, hiding it from his features.]

What happened? How did we end up here?

[Sweden has been here for a while. And with recent developments, the group of people who live here have decided to put up guards above the entrances to the underground shelters that they use against the various dangers of the area.

And said dangers are exactly the reason why upon hearing a sound he pointed a gun into the direction of where he heard the sound... but then he lowers it when he hears the voice. Speech is what (at least so far) has set apart monsters and people who got brought here. No monster, be it animal or ghost or zombie or something else, can speak properly.

And this voice... He jumps from the watch- well, not tower. It's more like a pile of rubble. But a carefully constructed pile of rubble - and rushes over, and a moment later Finland will find himself pulled into strong arms.] Fin.

[He has been terribly worried about how Finland might fare back home, alone and with all the trouble that Russia is giving them... Estonia and Latvia, too, but he has to admit that it is Finland of whom he is thinking the most. Not that he wants him here, certainly not, he just wants to be back, but just for the moment, it is a relief to hold his long-time .........territory. Yes, nothing else to see here. Ttly.]

[ Suspicious Finn is Suspicious.

Okay mostly suspicious Finn is unsettled because he's sure he's seen this person before, or felt him anyway, and he hasn't quite figured out how he feels about that.

Don't mind him, he'll just be... staring at you creepily from a slight distance... ]

Would this be better or worse if he could talk to the really slightly creepy Finn? Something about him makes Reynir uncomfortable, puts him on edge. There's an uneasy nagging feeling which really doesn't help.

Maybe he should just... try and talk?]

Do you really not know any Icelandic? I thought everyone knew bits and pieces at least... but I guess Finland is really far away! Do you miss it a lot? [He smiles at Lalli hopefully. Well, if nothing else maybe he'll stop watching him and allow the hairs on the back of Reynir's neck to settle?]

It's not made easier by that he can't talk to him. Sure, he can't talk to Lalli either, but there is a difference between not being able to understand someone with whom he can communicate fairly well without words (or at least Emil thinks that he can) and someone who...

He's still mad that nobody told him that Reynir wasn't a prisoner.

And thus he finds himself in the morning, putting down Reynir's breakfast before him as he's been ordered to get that ready for everyone while the others are doing different things (sleeping, in Lalli's case).

And saying nothing.]

[Reynir's feeling pretty miserable and just a little bit stupid. Maybe it'd be easier to keep himself from wallowing in it if he could talk to more than half of the crew he's found himself stuck with, but as it is he'll just try and keep himself to himself, at least until he finds his feet.

He blinks when a tray's placed in front of him, and looks up to see the blonde - did someone say that he was a Swede? Maybe. The small kindness is enough to let Reynir forget the language barrier, a smile catching his lips.] Thanks

[Mikkel has decided to clean the tank, and also decided to employ the help of those that aren't immune, so Lalli, Emil and Sigrun have been banished to the outside.

Sigrun has taken off to find food, and so Lalli and Emil are left to sit in fornt of the tank's entrance and wait.

Emil has at this point flopped to the ground and is explaining the night sky constellations to Lalli (he has decided that it doesn't really matter that Lalli can't understand, friendly conversation is friendly conversation). He has one arm up, pointing out the stars that he is talking about.]

...and that is Orion - the belt is easy to see, there, the three bright stars in a row.
